I have been looking into doing the BigBear gear swap. I know that most guys are doing the 1st gear swap for more bottom end torque but what I am looking at doing is the 4th and 5th gear swap for more top end. I currently have a 446 stroker will all the goodies and it pulls my 25" tires like a...
Looking to buy a used warn unlocker for my 2003 Wolverine. If you have one please send me a pm. I can rebuild it or replace the cable if needed and the price is right. Thanks!
My guess is a leaky intake boot. Had the same thing happen and loosened the clamps and wiggled the carb some, retightened the clamps and problem solved.
I am running a Z400 suzuki carb on my wolverine. Stock throttle cable and intake boot. Intake boot I heated with the heatgun to get it to stretch over the larger carb bell but once I got my clamp tight it hasnt been a problem. You will also need a manual style choke plunger, and will have to...
I didnt cut the battery box. The factory battery didnt fully take up the entire battery box so I bought a battery that takes up the entire box, without cutting into my plastics.

Managed to do the Z 400 carb swap, huge difference in throttle response. I had the stocker dialed in perfectly but this thing puts it to shame and im not done tuning. Pulls hard all the way! May do a How-to if I get the time.
Make sure the mating serfaces are clean and make sure the head isnt warped. Also torque the head bolts in a cross pattern and work your way up to the final torque.
Anyone install a larger battery on there 350 wolverine, The battery box is way bigger than the battery so I am going to find a battery larger than stock that fits well in the stock location. Anyone done this and know what size you are running?
If all you do is mud bogging get the springs, otherwise I wouldnt even mess with it. I liked the extra grunt when in mud but for trailriding I didnt really like the springs.
Never heard of replacing the gear too, nor does the factory service manual say anything about this? Please share where you got this info? I also like the factory axle compared to the durablue for the wolverine anyways. The factory axle will bend before it breaks, like after a heck of a...
