according to yamaha, on a '99 at least, there are 2 available pulse coils, a 200ohm and a 500ohm. not sure why.

    running with bent valve

it's more like a third. my digital camera quit on me. when you are looking at the head of the valve, where you put the three angle grind, 2/3 is silver, and 1/3 is still black. my experience with bent valves is they cause the vehicle not to run. this warrior has a supertrapp on it, so any sounds...

    running with bent valve

this is the only thing that makes sense. my exhaust valve is not sealed like it should be. when looking at the sealing area of the valve, about one quarter is black. the seat is all silver in color. is this normal, or did whoever not lap the valve whenever? the reason i say running on bent valve...

battery acts undervolt or under amp

battery was @12.9 this morning, but wouldn't crank. i put the charger on it @4A, and it starts. it is not the stock battery, it is a 14AHBS. if not a battery issue, must be a regulator issue. any ideas? thanks in advance.

    non-sparking '99 warrior

nevermind, this beasty ran before in the same configuration. i disconnected the park brake jumper, smoked out the smaller ground lead. i cleaned the battery's terminals, the gound strap at the engine, the solenoid ends. cranked right up. the ends corrode quick on these.

    eliminating the the underseat relays

in reading a bit more, i removed the jumper i had installed in the park brake leads. the battery was acting up, so i started jumping the solenoid. the smaller black wire from the battery to the harness, smoked up. i'm told that this is due to a bad ground somewhere. question is, why would i be...

    eliminating the the underseat relays

on the warrior you have a starter solenoid, and two safety relays. the relays (plastic encased) are those to which i refer. i did an dc test on the green one. two of the wires show to be carrying 10.48Vdc. i jumped those two together and nothing. i want to bypass or eliminate the relays. by...

    harmonic puller stripped!

i've been reading up on some of the pullers on ebay and elsewhere. there seem to be at least two different pullers for the warrior. that is easily figured out. the cheapest one i've seen for sale was 35~37. you can rent some off of ebay, but i'd rather have my own. i wish the bike shops would do...

    harmonic puller stripped!

so i was trying to remove my warrior's rotor, with heat, and my puller stripped out. i bent two main screws in the puller, used a breakover bar with 2' cheater pipe, used the impact. nothing worked. i oiled the impact this last time, and it seemed like it was coming off. so keep the trigger...

    non-sparking '99 warrior

ok, i have spark, but the rotor will not come off. i bought three grade 8 bolts to use with my harmonic puller. my impact gun has less torque than my cheater bar'd breakover. this is hella stuck. any ideas besides getting a better impact gun? the last time i tried, the crank bolt got bent.

    spark, comp, fuel check

so i have the requisites, but the thing will only pull start. it currently has the 'short sweep' rotor on it. i would change it out, except, when using my harmonic puller, it bent the crap out of my puller's bolt. i got another bolt, it bent it too. my bro must've jammed the rotor in place...

    starter oil grounding?

it, the starter spins, but sometimes does not want to. battery had 12.5~13.5V. grounds are all good. no matter where i ohm to/from, it ohms.

Im installing a turbo on my warrior, Pics

on the tc003, the air pressure from the scroll was the oil seal on the compressor side. according to the manual. in this setup, the tc003, if reconfigured for suck through, would put gas into the oil, ruining the turbo, and possible teh engine. if it didn't blow up first. the turbo is ducted to...

    problem

stupid question, i know, but, does it have gas? by having gas i mean, is there fuel in the tank; is there fuel in the line; is there fuel in the carb; and lastly will fuel come out of the carb? to check the all of this at once, i place my hand on the breather box side of the carb, while turning...

Im installing a turbo on my warrior, Pics

the wheels are sealed only when the wheels rotate at certain speeds. they use air to form a seal to keep the oil at the bearing/bushing. which is why if you do not let the engine return to idle before killing it, it destroys the bearing/bushing. it destroys the bearing/bushing because of the...

Im installing a turbo on my warrior, Pics

nope, sorry, doesn't help. my dad has had a few yamaha seca turbo's in addition to the turbo's i've seen on supras and such. putting gas into the turbo, could theoretically, cause the turbo's oil to loose viscosity and destroy the turbo's bearing. this is what i see according to your...
