my 01 does the same thing... i also notice it's sometimes hard as hell to get into reverse, however if i drop it into 1st it's not usually a problem and gets better as the quad warms up.. reverse is nice, but now that i know how to ride i hardly use it, just pull up a hill roll back and spin...

yeah, i have some 8" semi-solid concrete blocks i used to jack mine up in addition to a few lenghts of 6x6 i put in my bed to keep the front bumper from hitting the bed front.

always: helmet, gloves, goggles spring/fall: work boots, jeans, t-shirt: long or short sleeved depending on weather winter: thermal boots,carhart, with layers beneath. sometimes i wear a back brace because i'm getting old haha and one day at the MX track i bent over to get my tools from...

nice upgrade! can you make my warrior do that? my dealer never has z400's but always tons of yamahas.. seeing as how the rappy is 1000k less it doesn't make sense, unless the z kicks that much ass.. i just want to ride one and see.

i've been using a nikon d40 dslr camera. haven't been able to buy lenses for it yet other then the kit lense issued with it. great speed, crisp photos, and full manual settings. got it all for under 700, but i'm pretty serious about photography.

i just cleand my makuni carb because i was having a similar issue. total stock machine, full choke fine, half choke fine, choke off... sputter sputter backfire shut off.. would not idle. then i found this forum through another guy and ended up cleaning the whole carb. why do the bowl screws...

got the warrior running smooth again, what else can i play with... i bought a clutch lever about 2 years ago but haven't put it on yet. i hate pulling the parking brake cable when shifting gears and thought this would be a good upgrade. i've heard of needing a block off plate on the rear...

haha... i was actually thinking about upgrading to something lighter & quicker, but just had a baby and can't really buy myself any new toys.. gotta keep the warrior a bit longer... shoot my buddy has an 86 still kicking around, no doubt it'll last, just gotta get the bug worked out.. carbs are fun!

what's up forum!? i have a 2001 yamah warrior, you all know the specs.. the only mods so far have been itp holeshots, nerf bars, brush guards, and a +1 durablue axle, which was added the first weekedn with the machine... apparently the stock axle can't handle sliding into trees.. woops...
