87 to 98 hi thanks for the advice i just picked up a complete 98 warrior harness with all electrical and flywheel so now i got a project

i was wondering if any one has changed the harness from an 87 to a newer one i know the stator is different but is the flywheel the same and do you need to change the stator housing due to ony having one pickup and is there any thing else i might run in to while doing this this swap thanks

i was wondering if you can tell what year the motor is by engine numbers I have a 87 warrior that i bought not running and it looks like the motor has been changed motor numbers are 1uy-010399

so i probable need to chang out the stater with the wright plug and hope then i get spark. what about the cdi will 87 88 plug in to the same harness and if i change the stator will i have to change the flywheel
