i picked up a nice 87 warrior with no spark. after trying for a while to fix it and finding more od things that didnt make sense i decided to remove everything and replace it with newer 98 warrior electrical.
i used the key switch start stop headlight switch cdi and harness along with a 98 flywheel magneto and stator and relays. i did have to make the forward revers wire longer because the switch is in a different location and i have to build a bracket for the cdi to mount but after a couple of hours of work hooked up a battery and hit the start button and we have spark replaced the plug and it started up but carb is leaking gas so i will have to remove it and see if we can fix it
only other thing that's different is the headlight plugs but i plan on adding led lights
it was definitely the best way to go
