87 a-arm ?

What exactly did you cut? I fit mine right in, just had to compress the shock to fit

The piece that's in the middle of the shock mount where the screw goes through (looks like the a-arm bearing but smaller )I just cut a very little piece off and it fit easy. Btw I never rode on new tie Rods and BJ should I expect the steering to be more stiff?? I know on my old set up it was loose /normal feeling and now its pretty stiff
 
With all new tie rods and BJ you should expect the steering to be more stiff in the way of being solid vs how it was loose before
