    Help Bearings

wow... my bad haha. the screen name didn't ring a bell for whatever reason. I just did front wheel bearings and a CV boot on my '99 today and it came apart with a few good whacks. It hasn't seen a lot of submerged mudding and that kind of thing though either.

    2000 wolverine exhaust questions

The cobra is about 150 bucks if its not backordered as most cobra pipes usually are. can you post a bigger picture of your quad with no racks? I like the look!

    Stock replacement handlebar install

This would cost about $40 bucks and takes maybe a half hour if you are taking pictures step by step haha.

    Stock replacement handlebar install

Step 4: Scuff the portion of the handlebars where the grips mount with some really coarse sand paper. I used some 40 grit I had kicking around. This will make a big difference in how well the grips stick. Step 5: Remount your controls where they feel good and function properly. Make sure...

    Stock replacement handlebar install

Hey guys... Just picked up this 1999 Wolverine 350 and I have been doing a few odds and ends to get it back up to snuff. It must have been tipped over or rolled at some point in its life because the bars were tweaked a bit. I was thinking about doing risers and 1-1/8 Pro Taper motocross bars...

    Help Bearings

sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your ball joints are non-replaceable on the 350 wolverine... i would probably be looking for some decent a-arms on ebay. In the future... when the ball joints wont pop out, the only good way to do it is to give the knuckle (around the tapered section of...

    crap what do i do

typically the side pointing towards the air filter will have more scratches on an older machine. Did you take the diaphragm off? If you didn't take it off, it should only go on one way... just look for the little half-moon piece of rubber hanging off the outside edge.

    99 wolverine 350 cold blooded?

I don't think the fuel filter is going to solve the issue since it runs good once it warms up. I noticed today that it seems to noticably puff smoke when the engine is cold. Maybe the compression is a little low from the worn rings and its struggling to draw fuel off the pilot circuit until...

    99 wolverine 350 cold blooded?

Runs like a top after its warmed up. Which leads me to believe its still a bit lean...

    99 wolverine 350 cold blooded?

Hey guys, I have a 1999 wolvy 350 here that sleeps in my heated shop at night. It refuses to start until I choke it full blast even when its been in a 65 degree shop all night. I don't have much experience with the wolverines and didn't know if this was common amongst them or if this one has...

    99 350 Engine oil

I'm not going to tell anybody what they have to run for oil... you can run whatever you want, but there are pros and cons. Car oil (oil that uses friction modifiers) is absolutely cheaper than motorcycle/atv oil. Why wouldn't it be? Every car/truck in the world takes like 5+ quarts of oil...

front diff swap on first gen?

I did some searching on another forum and people seem to think the 02 big bear front diff is the one to use since its more or less the same thing as the wolverine only with the magic button... interesting...

front diff swap on first gen?

Unless i'm mistaken a '99 kodiak isn't push-button 4x4? I have a parts '99 kodiak here but it is a canadian model so it might be different.

    Battery Upgrade

A YTX14A-A2 will fit in fairly easily. There is just a little more pressure on the mounting bracket, since the battery is roughly a quarter inch taller. Its a lot more common battery and cheap to boot. Prettymuch every older polaris ATV runs on one of them.

    E-Start Dead...Help!

Try this... pull the starter motor out of the engine and "bench test" it by using your ATV's electrical system. That way you are testing the motor and the relay, etc all in one whack. With the starter out, run a jumper from the positive lead (that bolts to the starter) to the stud on the...

    Wolvy trouble

A cheap digital voltmeter will tell you if the stator is charging the battery. With the ATV running, put the digital volt meter on the 12V DC setting and touch the test leads to the battery terminals (with the ATV's ground and power leads still attached of course). You should see the voltage...

    Hanging revs and erratic idling?

Sounds like its running lean, or you possibly have an intake leak somewhere. What do you have your fuel screw set at? Make sure the carb is seated firmly in the intake boot with the clamp tight and that there are no cracks in it. The quick and dirty test is to spray some carb cleaner on and...

front diff swap on first gen?

First of all... hey guys new member here! I have been doing some browsing in random forums but haven't come up with anything yet. Has anybody successfully swapped a front differential from a different model into a wolverine to achieve a push-button 4wd system? I'm referring to the first gen...
