well today before i read the last 2 post lol, i pushed a wire through the hose then compressed air and it cleared, put everything back together and now the other hose was clogged, lol, just yesterday it was clear so i ran wire in that one s well, now all lines are clear and bled, but ill go...

well i did drain out the rusted brake fluid ran air into all front lines, i pulled h calipers off and ran air into them as well but one line has a clog, i ran compressed air into everything and still the one line wont unclear, not sure if its a good idea to try and run a wire into the hose????

So my wonderful front brakes were stuck shut. the brake fluid holder, one screw was stripped, so i drilled that out and rethreaded that, but my right side brake hose that attaches to the caliper is clogged, is there any special way the clear the hose out or just buy another one??? the old fluid...

ok im happy, thanks to all of you, my new free toy runs and runs good, looks like it was the pilot jet, so i cleared that out with a tiny wire, i also added a filter in the hose from the petcock to the carb, and one that i can replace the lil inside filter, and the plastic washer is still in the...

well i didnt get a chance to start it today, i went out and got a inline filter with a changeable filter and did not get that put on yet, so by the sound of it i think my plastic washer got lost haha, it will be started tomorrow, hope it stays running haha

@motoarts, thanks and i believe you found the problem haha, the pilot jet had crap in it, i took it out and couldnt blow through it, sprayed carb cleaner in it and ran a lil wire in it its clear now, i also ran some air through the body of the pilot jet and its clear, :), i havnt started it yet...

ok so i pulled the carb. off the bike and took the float bowl off, pulled the main jet and the 2 main jet washers, the plastic main jet washer (#35 in the service manual) slides over the head of the main jet???(#36) i can screw the main jet and brass washer on, then slide the plastic washer over...

it was what i was told, and it come out of a tube, not the screw at the bottom of the bowl, so if i said it wrong or am saying it wrong, i think its the float getting stuck, but im not 100%

ok cool and thanks ill pick up one of those, my gramps also said something about gas pouring from the very bottom hose on float bowl?? he said tap the carb and it should stop?? hummmm would that also be with a good carb cleaning?? this is witht he new carb.

thanks and it good enough for me for now, im not gonna do anything crazy with it, what do you mean year of color?? just the gray in general? it did sit out side but on a trailer and under a tarp or two, it was taken care of but not ridden much, hopefully ill be about to take it out a lil more...

@moto- im not sure as to what it was boild in but my grand father did say it was some very strong stuff, im sure its somethign he has had for years now, and knowing him it most likely was fully taken apart but ill see and ask him a lil more tomorrow as i will see him for Easter, i do how ever...
