    I'm off the warrior wagon

I wasn't having many problems with mine, I just got tired of watching my buddy's on their ute's going up to their elbows in mud. It seemed that I was always looking for a way around while they were having all the fun. Also, after riding some of their quads, I was quite jealous of the comfort...

yup, it's a utility. The sports were killing me. I was ready to change to a ute. Gettin too old to change gears and get beat to death.

    I'm off the warrior wagon

So I got a wild hair up my butt and traded my warrior and a bike on a new kawi brute force 650 camo. I miss the warrior a little, but I got a monster now. It's decked out with ss itp 14 inch rims and 27" xtr mudlites. Holy crap this thing is badass, but, I did manage to get it stuck last...

    Switched 350-650

I know I don' t know most of you all, but I had to switch to a utility. I'm gettin old. I bought a brute force 650 today, traded my bike and the warrior. I hope you all won't be upset. It's not about speed, it's about comfort. Thanks for the great forum, and actually, I think I'll stay here...

    Front tires?

I've got the klaw fronts. They track and brake well. They are a bit heavy, however, I wouldn't trade them for anything for trail riding

Be careful, always ride trail first

It was a bad cut, about three inches long. The branch went up his helmet, caught his forehead and then snatched his helmet off. It definitely needed stitches. After calming down, he drank a couple, then pulled out a suture kit and threatened to stitch it himself if I wouldn't do it. Thank...

Be careful, always ride trail first

Noooo, lol, he's not in that kind of business...hehe. He's in the service, so he could get in trouble for getting hurt while riding. Lol, I guess I could have just said that.

Be careful, always ride trail first

I guess I need to add....this was near a pond we have to go around. The lone resident's are renters that are a few hundred feet away from the pond. They think they own it now. We have taken care of the pond, the trails, and the right-of-ways for the last 7 years (mowing, picking up trash...

Be careful, always ride trail first

My buddies and I went riding tonight, about 30 miles round trip. We didn't notice a new cut small tree (appr. 1 inch diameter pointed towards trail) on our way out. On our way back (the same trail), my friend ran off the trail a little and the tree went up his helmet, and into his forehead...

    Water still causing trouble

Thanks you all. I think I'll try the grease on the cdi connections, along with zip ties like I have it now. I guess it's still possible they are getting wet or coming loose. That was a problem a while back, they were ever so slightly coming unplugged and causing it to run like crap. I know...

    handling question

Paintslinga, I didn't mean to create a stir either, I had a little bit of a buzz, so I was being a little hardheaded. I do love my 22's though. And like I said, with the right gearing, you aren't losing a thing. I also wouldn't call my handling "so-so" compared to the smaller tire as was...

    handling question

Yak, exactly, they handle better than ute's. That was my point. And as far as a "modern sport quad"....he doesn't have one, he has a warrior. BTW, I have been test riding a buddy's z400 lately that he wants to sell me. I actually just posted this in another thread in classifieds. I liked...

    handling question

There ain't (which is a word now I think) a gd thing wrong with 22's. I think you would be gd surprised at how well they handle. They offered me a **** load more clearance. All it takes is a sprocket change if you don't like the lower end you lose. They handle as well as the smaller tires...

    handling question

I absolutely disagree with people's opinions on kenda klaws. I have 22/7/10's on front and 22/11/9's on the rear, I believe. I'd have to go check. Man I absolutely love these things. The rears are a little heavy, but I can sling those things around at the push of the throttle, anytime, and...

    Water still causing trouble

I don't know wtf is going on. Every time I run my quad through a creek that we have to go through, it causes problems. It's a pretty steep incline in and out of the creek. The water is about a foot deep. I take it easy through it. No water gets in the airbox that I can tell. The cdi...
