YZ250 shifter question

Hey guys- I read on this site several places about the YZ250 shifter mod. I was just wondering what you need. Do you need just the shifting lever or also the shifting shaft and gears? I'm just not sure. Thank you for your help.

I have a pull start mod on mine. Do you guys think that the YZ250 lever will clear it?
