It is great to see a forum specifically for the old Warriors. My family started with 2 when we moved to Utah as we mostly ride Little Sahara. My son and I did some decent work to them and bought 2 more for parts. That is when we decided that being outrun up the hill was not much fun. Long story short, he runs a 10mil Banshee and I run a 98 Warrior with a Suzuki 1200 with headers and 38mm flatslides. We started with a Katana 600, then 750 and now Miss America runs the 1200. I run a 12" swing-arm with a Banshee rear axle. I am looking for a drop in shock (not Elka's) that will absorb some of the weight when hitting the woops uphill. Any suggestions would be great as we are down for the winter going through the bikes.

Other than elka? Maybe you can find some old works or do some fullflight a arms and yfz shocks.
I usually do not take the whoops too fast- I let everyone pass me there then reel them in. But sometimes coming back down the mountain the springs will bottom out with the weight. Are the banshee shocks a true bolt on?

Yep the banshee shocks bolt right on but I don't think the fronts are much better.

Well, I guess it is time to hit eBay. Anyone have the measurements un-sprung and compressed?

Miss America lookin wild
The only consideration for the banshee rear shock is the reservoir would hit the stock air box, looks like you have that tank in that location should clear it.
Using a banshee shock opens up a huge aftermarket so you can find sonething that's meant to work with that extended swinger

Thanks for the compliment, she is usually a great conversation starter at the dunes. My rear shock is actually fine, the front shocks bottom out when hitting a dip coming down the hill. I have changed the spring compressed height, but think I really could use a better spring up front so it does not get bouncy.
Even the banshee running a 6" stretch crashed on the whoops, and we need to be able to send both over the whoops section smoothly.

A friend of mine with his R1 Raptor crashed bad in this video when we were running. This was back with the 750 Katana engine and high gear sprockets. But the whoops can be seen in this clip.
