blowing across the lake this weekend and after shutting it down for a break, the electric start will not work. it pop starts and runs fine. the battery is fine. there is NO clicking at all when i push the start button, its like a dead machine. the elec start worked fine up until this happened. im going to check ground wires now but i dont think thats it. i dont know $h!t about elec all i can think of is either starter/solenoid/cdi? maybe the button itself? any ideas on what it could be are appreciated.

put a screw driver inbetween the positive and negitive connection on the solenoid. if it fires that way then your solenoid is bad

Check the red wire coming from the battery. Not the big one, but the little one. Follow that back under the fender, and see what it's rubbing against.
