ultramatic jumps into gear

Hey guys I'm new to the ultramatic transmission. For some reason when I have the pedal down and put into forward or reverse it tends to jump, but once it warms up after riding it seems to stop. Is this just because of higher rpm's and needs to warm up longer?

problem solved

Well I just happen to be messing around and decided to adjust the idle speed. As soon as I lowered it I heard the ultramatic stop running. So it seems that it does makes sense that the ultramatic transmission engages at a certain Rpm range. Now when I shift into forward I goes in smoothly.
