Twist throttle issue

Hey guys so I am in the process of rebuilding my quad and got the bars mounted with all the controls and my new motion pro twist throttle. The issue I have now is that there is no return on the throttle when rolled open, the throttle and carb stick at that position, there is no spring back to idle. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? The carb itself will spring back before the cable is installed but not after everything is together. Thanks in advance for the help
