i took the warrior for the first ever ride since owning it, to trevorton pa this weekend, went with my girl and my nephew and his warrior. i gotta say i was dissapointed with the warrior's power, i couldnt do even the smaller hill climbs that the 400ex's and bigger quads were doing, nice for the trails tho.

sorry for no action pics, i didnt want to carry my phone around.

The warrior should have plenty of power to do all of those hills. Something aint right.

those are the small ones, i did those no problems, i dont have a pic of the big hills, be we were running two warriors, one was mine a 91, runs great, clutch grabs great, the other is a 98, same, everything good, but it just dont have the power to pull up the inclines, no wheel spin or anything, just dogging power once you get halfway up, i tried every combination of gears, gear changes ect.

I climb some steep ass stuff in wellsville no problem. I do have some mods but I see stock warrior make them as well. To high of a gear perhaps? 2nd and 3rd are climbing speeds.

i tried second, and third, and combo of both, lol. i'm gonna have to try to count the teeth on the sprockets since i didnt own it new, who knows whats on it, but i know the 98 is bone stock, and it didnt get any further then mine.

and man these engines are noisy valve train wise, both of the warriors sounded like typeriters talking, lol

Yeah the valve train is very noisey on them, have you adjusted the valves? Out of spec valve lash will result in low power. Gearing is a HUGE part of a machines performance. Do you have any mods? I just came from Hatfield's rock house trail system, if you have't viewed my thread, and there wasn't ANYTHING that my warrior couldn't climb. There were times when I'd have to stop on a hill for on coming traffic, or wait for my dad to catch up, and I'd start in the middle of a hill in 1st, and by the time I was at the top I was in 3rd. But then my bike is putting out close to 30hp.

went back to trevorton saturday for a short ride, really nice day, warrior felt alot better after some tlc, still have to get some engine mods done because it just doesnt impress me yet
