I have an 04 350. It goes into reverse without using the reverse cable. Its not cool its a bad way to completely destroy a transmission I'm guessing. I'm gonna say something is bent inside. Anyone else ever have the same problem?

So it will just happen randomly while youre riding?

No it doesnt jus do it at random. It will let you shift from first straight to reverse while moving

Mine has the same issue. I think there's a reverse lockout arm in the case that's bent. I've never bothered to fix it, because you have to remove the clutch to get to it. I just watch my downshifts. And it makes finding neutral a chore before the engine is up to temp.

The cable broke many moons ago so its not even there
