Stock exhaust- is air filter upgrade worth it?

I want to keep my stock exhaust on but wondered if it was worth installing an upgraded air filter kit. I need to keep things quiet for now so a loud pipe is out of the qustion. I need to buy an air filter soon and will just get a spare stock one if theres no benefit. Thanks.

i acutally think that through the stealership the stock filter costs more than a K&N.. and yes i would say it is worth it.. you shouldn't have to rejet with just a filter, aslong as u leave the lid on.

Buy a clamp on style filter and get rid of the stock airbox headache. Keeping sand and dust out of the motor is a good way to make your ride last longer...not just go fast.
