any harm in bypassing the starter relay to check compression or try to start?

I have a guy coming with warrior to trade for my rebuilt blaster and he said it is missing the plastic cover on the carb, headlight and the battery is dead and the rear caliper is missing.

He said the header glor red hot ..I'm thinking possible air leak????

what are the general cuases of this ..the intake manifold?.... dude has a budy that wants to buy my manifod when he comes to trade
maybee I ought to start it up and do the old spraying the manifold trick before selling mine

who nows they could be up all night swaping crap...?

ypu can spay it with starting fluid or something to see if it leaks, move the carb around when you do it to open any cracks, and it being lean could be they bought and exhaust and or airfilter and didn't jet it or a cracked intake
