Shaved fenders?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of shaved fenders I'm considering it

Disadvantages: More mud in your face, More Water in your Face, nothing to break your fall off a big double...

yea everyone has their own looks, i personally like the warriors with the fenders, but i have seen a lot of very good looking ones that people have trimmed. its just what the owner likes.
