I didn't, it was like this when I bought it, I was just anxious and rode it without ever looking the bike over enough haha.. brakes worked awesome, and thought it was my chain clicking when i was riding, but it was my brakes catching n knocking into the mount. once i looked at it, i parked it to fix it.
