K well my friend goes all the time and today i decided i would take my tacoma out. I always doughted it because it sucks in 2x4 and the 4x4 wasnt that good in the snow. Anyways it ended up being better then my friends ford F150. It rocked like no other. I think the deepest i went was 2 feet, like 6 inches of mud then the rest was water. Then everything else we rode in was eather pure mud shallow water and a mud. It was freaking amazing. Well im done for a while with that but ill get the vids and pics up in a while.
 
Most fullsize pickups aren't much good in the mud. Too heavy and cumbersome. What kind of tires do you run?
 
tacomas are great trucks, especially with the 3.4 v6. ballzy engine for its displacement! my father had a '96 t100 5 speed with that motor and i could burn out into 3rd gear! do your regular maintence and even with a little beating the tacoma will last a LONG time...
 
Hahahaha about the tires, welllll......i got street tires on it. They are really good for rain and just the street but thats about it. Well thats what i though intill i took it out today, those tiers rip in the mud, idk how but they ******* rule. O and by the way tacos are in my book the best mid size truck, they last forever and rule off road. And not only because i have one, just look at the competition, ranger(hahaha p.o.s.), and frontier?

luke get some pics of it covered in mud. i wanto see this. o and dave76, its a 5 speed. i think im going with you next time you go cause i was talking to my dad and he doesnt care if i take the jeep out just so i dont bring it home broke. so ill just have to be carefull i guess.
 
Yeah its a 5 speed, great for rocking it out.

And nice truck, my bro has those tires on his jeep but he never gos off roading, how are they in the mud and dirt?
 
Yeah i hate them he just got them becuase there good on the street but it still gives his jeep the sweet bad ass off road look. I need new tiers soo bad idk what happend but my back right tire is bald and every other one has like a half centimeter or tred left, its ******* weird i saw it wheni was cleaning it.
 
One wheeled burn outs? lol, Its funny how somehting so dumb as burning out can be fun, I did my first one in my truck when My parents werent home, I didnt think It would spin the 33's since it was lifted and all that, two black ass marks later I was wrong....
 
I have never buned out in my truck except for a couple times but i wasnt like tyring to and it was just by accedent becuase it was wet or somthing. Idk its wierd. Unlesss one of my asshole brothers did.

Wow, i wish i could restrain myself from spinning the tires like that. I bought my truck in june of last year, with brand new american generals on the back, and they're already to the point that they'll barely pass inspection. 50,000 mile tires that lasted me... umm... about 10,000. I was just as bad with my escort, and even worse with the mustang. I was replacing tires every other month with the mustang.

There's just something great about the smell of burning rubber ;D

By the way, nice truck. Just make sure that you pressure wash that thing real good after you get it all muddy, or you'll end up with all kinds of problems real quick. My buddies were going through wheel bearings like nobody's business and rust was busting out everywhere until they started washing them after getting them muddy.
 
How dare you insult the almighty ranger. It has been the most solid truck built for many many years. I have one myself and would not trade it for anything.

AAAUUUGH!! No ripping on the rangers! ;) Not the greatest truck in the world, but it has a great aftermarket following, and used to cost half as much as a tacoma. Nothing beats the old I-beam Rangers and there bitchin suspension travel off-road; it's a staple light truck out here.

Actually you can rip on the rangers all you want, just a rebadged Mazda B-3000 is all it is. But my 2x4 Ranger is too much fun to drive off-road until I get stuck lol.

True dat, rangers are kickass little trucks. One of my buddies has a 92, base model everything, and the original 2.3 has either 300,000 or 400,000 miles, depending on where we run a check on the vin number. Most of that truck is still original. They're definitely a better built truck than s10's, i know that because I made the mistake of buying one.
 
K well i guess its only my two friends rangers that suck hardcore at everything. They suck at towing the suck at off road there aways in the shop and they both look supurbly gay. Well now that i look at my two friends that have them are retarded and cant take care of anything so they could just be the problem of that well except the looking gay part. Good mid size truck though i would take one. Well if i didnt have the taco i would.
