All,
I wanted to share what I found during the restoration of my Raptor 350. I had an issue where sometimes it would not crank or start unless I shook the bike a little, then it would start right up. Sometimes while riding it would just turn off. Well, I think I found the issue......One tab that holds the ignition coil also is a grounding point. I found the tab cracked and broke loose from the frame causing a poor ground. I could see the arc marks from it connecting off and on. Below is a picture after I welded the tab back on and used a flapper wheel to smooth it back down.
