Is there a way to remove the long needle for replacement without removing all the linkage on the side of the carb? Forgive the stupid question. .....
 
What do you mean all the linkages? You can remove it by taking the spring off the top one and it pulls right out of the middle without removing the link.
 
Is that spring gonna unroll and get all messed up? Thats what im trying to avoid
 
Ok ill just pull it apart then. Getting a whole kit so I might as well use it
 
even if the spring did come off its compressed to where it should b all you would have to do is put it back on and while you have the carb off id put a pen spring in the accelerator pump its stronger and works a hell of alot better
