muffler baffle

What's supposed to be in the muffler? When I bought my Warrior, it had/has a Cobra pipe, and the stock muffler came with it, but there is nothing inside and the baffle is missing from the stock pipe. So should there be anything inside like a packing or anything, or is it just missing the baffle on the end? The Cobra is a little too loud for where I ride so I want to put the stock pipe back on. Thanks.

well my buddy has a 1999 warrior with the same pipe and his came like yours did with no packing or baffle and his is extremely loud and he was goin to put his stocky back on to so hope this helps.

All that's supposed to be in the stock silencer is the baffle in the end, no packing.
