jetting/spark plug issues

I have recently installed a HMF on my warrior and am in the process of rejetting. I rejeted to what i thought it should be and it didnt run perfectly so I wanted to pull the spark plug to see which way I needed to go, richer/leaner and for the life of me I cannot get the boot off of the spark plug, and in the process of pulling I noticed that the spark plug was loose. so its parked now until i can find out what the deal is. help me please!!

Got the boot off of the spark plug and got the spark plug out and I'm goin to replace it tomorow with a fresh spark plug. hopefully my head is still good the threads look pretty clean. The spark plug had a grey color to it so im close on jetting which makes me happy.
