did these tires make much difference in power? loss of power?i am looking to add them to my machine in the future also any input is good

I just installed a set of 26 inchers on my 98 wolvy. I must say they do pretty well in the mud and even better on hill climbs. There 6 ply but seem a little thin compared to the 6 ply tires I used to have which were Titan 589's

Top link seems to be dead, is this the tire we are talking about?

in my opinion there way to heavy..... not the best for a wolverine if you ask me.... and to be honest as good as they look, i have a few friends that have them on there bigger atvs, and there not that good, they are very oval shaped ..... meaning they ride on the center of the tire....have seen many people have hard times getting out of ruts and so on....

on that note...... i am very impressed with the maxxis zilla..... very light and handle great in all areas of riding.. :D

This is an interesting read for me, as the Swamp Lite was the #2 choice for mine before I got the MudLiteXL. I was considering a burnout contest at the house with some old tires and getting a set of the SL to have as a trail tire... maybe not so much now...

here is a list of the most tires and weights.... i can not stress enough how much power it robs and how much harder it is on an atv if you try turning too much tire...

There only problem I've had with my swamplites are they don't clean well in the really thick stuff (but what tires does). If yours are riding on the center then you have too much air in them. I run mine at 3 psi and no more than 4 psi and I don't have them riding on the center. As far a getting stuck I've seen silverbacks get stuck while swamplites got through its just a matter of how you ride. Even the best tire isn't going to get you out of every mud hole. If you ride trails and mud every so often the swamplite is an excellent tire (it's not a true mud tire, more of a all terrain tire).

Swamplites

Just put a set of 27" Swamplites on my STOCK 96 Wolvy. This should be interesting. I couldnt pass up the tire/wheel combo price so I picked them up.
