intake boot idea?

do you think using them two boots and make a piece of aluminum in between them so they dont crack so often? im gunna get measurements and see if the would work, and make a center piece.

It seems like a good idea to me if it will work, I dont know if it would be worth the time to customize it though.

The intake has to be able to flex.

I'm having the same problem. I'm tired of buying a new boot every year. Why does the intake need to flex when the boot between the airbox does.

im going to buy two mikuni intake boots from dennis kirk. although they are different and one needs a lil modification. and lathe a metal insert with a blade in the middle. i hope it will work. ill let you know.

So are you planning to try to adapt one of those to the head & the other to the carb? What's the Dennis Kirk part # for those?

theres only 4 of them and i went off measurments to find the two right ones.
