how do i polish my axle?

my axle looks like ****, the dumbass that had it before me painted it and its got surface rust on it. i want it to be shiny for the ladies

Jack it up
Take the wheels off
Start it up
Put it in gear
Use some emery cloth
Be careful

you sure thats safe???? its off the bike right now so i was just gonna put it in a vice or something lol. what im wondering is what i could ut on my dremal or drill to make it shine

Lol if your pulling axle to polish be ready to do carrier bearings.

Nothing is safe about ATVs. But if I needed to do one I would try it.
Don't put it in sixth and have your buddy throttle it.

If you polish it and want it to stay shiny, be prepared to re-polish very often.

Defiantly clear it I polished mine and it starts to rust even sitting in the shed. I still have to polish clear it.

really?? iv never heard of putting leather straps on an axle but i think i might try it once i get this thing running lol

I sandblasted mine and primered and painted it with that tractor implement paint and then a clear coat looks great...I seen people put exhaust wrap around their axles to..
