Hey everyone. My axle bearings are being a pain and will not fit back into the carrier right. The side with the brake caliper has plenty of room for the bearing and seal. but on the sprocket side, the bearing doesnt fit all the way (hangs out maybe 1/8in), so the seal and dust cover definately are too far out. I tried putting the axle nuts on (only 1 will fit right now) to pull the bearing in and its just not doing it.

There is steel that looks to be part of the carrier blocking the bearing on the sprocket side but leaves plenty of room on the caliper side. Do i need it to be pressed or what?

Please share your knowledge!!!

Thanks a lot,
Pat

Thats what I thought. I was convinced after I brought it to xtreme machines (yamaha/kawi../everything dealer) and I showed them and he said theyd press it in a week and that it definately needed to be pressed. But I said a week? HELL NO!! I wanna ride. When I got home I stared at it for like an hour when a saw a ridge that was deeper that the others. THE OUTSIDE OF MY BEARING ENDED UP BEING FUSED TO THE CARRIER! I heated that sucker up and it was not match for a prybar and hammer. next thing i knew a red hot projectile was shooting across the garage. Thanks for the input though!!!!
