nice grad present and i love that 1500. always wanted one like that, but i have a 90 scsb that i like just as much. for being only 21 you have had a lot of toys.

ya the stang was fun, 306 small block dual flowmasters 5 speed posi rear, traded it in for the fusion for gas mileage since i got a job 45 minutes away, the fusion is sweet too v6 awd. And ya sold the mud truck to get into xc racing i figured for price of tires on mud truck i could build a sweet bike lol and stang didnt look like that when my dad got it for me. i technically got it when i was 16 just got finished for graduation. my dad is really into cars and trucks that mud truck was his from when he was about 19-20 sat in field forever with blown motor so i got it for $200 and built it up to race most of the toys were basically junk when i got them just some parts and some wrench time made them the way they were.

Ya I guess for 21 i have had a lot of vehicles, had a 73 ford 2wd, 89 turbo coupe, 99 grand prix, 90 mustang, 97 s-10 blazer, 98 ram 2500 4x4, 82 chevy mud truck, 89 k5, 89 cherokee, 95 wrangler, 95 mazda b2200, 01 zx2, 06 fusion, blaster, rm250, 3 warriors, yfz, 89 yamaha fz600 bike, 95 ninja 600, and a 01 yamaha r6 lol but thats my thing, some people like golf i like machines lol that chevy motor was built in my parents garage by me and my dad two people who have never done it before but just tried it cause i had no money to pay a mechanic but it ran awesome pulled all the from prob 3000 to 8500 rpm just copied off a circle track crate engine parts list lol

if you wanna build a badass engine and got the money to spend you first start with a SBC (cause ford sucks)
you then buy a comp cams xe274 cam and some harlandsharp alum roller rocker 1.6 ratio (this gives about .512 lift on intake and exhaust) you then buy a set of dart iron eagle heads with 2.06 inch intake and 1.60 exhaust, (they come with stainless valves and springs good to .620 lift). then you'll want to buy some TRW 10.25:1 forged pop up pistons. then you get a dart hi rise alum intake and throw a quadra jet off a 454 on it. oh and get the cam for roller lifters and get yourself a good set of comp cams solid roller lifters.
set of headman headers and some purple hornies glass packs
running into a cutout then into a set of thrush mufflers. throw some moroso hi rise valve fabricated valve covers on it

but this is my next engine... wanting to drop her in a '72 2wd short bed chevy

lol i like ur motor combo but my style is open headers and F the quadrajunk carb a holley 750 double pump mechanical secondaries does the job very good or a barry grant or demon over the quadra. and fords dont suck, my brother who raced mud trucks with me ran a ford 460 with over 700 hp in his '73 1 ton mudder, just slower revving and more money for motor dollar for dollar horse power chevy is cheapest by far i had half the money he did in his motor and ran consistently with him, we were in top of our class for 2 years straight against each other

holley's run like **** on a well built SBC

and open heards are good except the fact the there extremly illegal around here. thats why you run cutouts... when you wanna hear the engine rumble you flip a switch and the pipe going to the thrust mufflers closes and the side of the pipe opens so all your hearing is the lope of the cam.

and ford does suck... there not even smart enough to put adjustable valves on there small blocks :/ the machine shop has to mill the heads to adjust em.

how about this SBC it's a 358 from nascar that turns about 9,000 rpms. It's has about 700 horses and this is our small motor.

I know you wouldn't get good fuel mileage. We go through any where from 10 to 15 gal of racing fuel. we only run about 45 laps on a 1/4 mile high bank clay track. It depends on the track if it gets slick or if it stays tacky. If the track stays tacky yeah we go through the 15 gals.
