Direct shift mod with pull start?

Does the yz250f direct shift mod work with a pull start?

No. There has been some people who have made custom direct shifters to clear the pull start tho.

Thanks, I found the thread for the custom shifter made for the big bear oil cooler mod, I can't find the one for the pull start. Anyway, I will do some more searching thanks

I picked up a used one from a local dealer. Fits just fine on my 88.

It fits because your shifter is way too low... I don't think they fit when the shifter is in a normal position.

Get a banshee shifter and bend it so it clears the pull start. It has to be a stock banshee shifter. Put it in a vice and increase the original bends a little and it will work just fine. I did it to mine when I still had the pull start installed. It is very easy to make it work.

Not sure about normal position.. In use to it being low. Original was about the same position. Either way it works and makes shifting awesome.
