I know its nothing like this but i found a temp gauge at harbor freight. it almost looks like a digital meat thermometer, for like $5.

perfect get a plastic plug that has the same threads tap a hole in it and insert the thermo

i used this when i made the oil cooler just to see how much of a temp change i got. it just barely reaches the oil but it works
