can this be anodized?

It's more than likely a cast alloy(or cast aluminum), and I don't think the anodize process will take on something with such a texture, but I may be wrong.
 
i think i will give it a try i never anodized anything before but there are quite a few diy sites with spectacular results. if it as aluminium it can be anodized (there are exceptions of course)
I have all the necessary chemicals available at work
 
Those are not aluminium, ive welded on that before. I dont see why you couldnt anodize it if you smooth it up.

if its steel it cant be anodize....:(
 
That would have been badass anodized, I have a GYTR anodized sprocket on mine and it would be sweet to have the hub done!!!
 
heat it up with a torch. if it turns red, its steel. if it doesnt turn, its aluminum.
or use the magnet method. the torch is just more fun
