Aftermarket lights ....Best location

I'm getting rid of my stock headlights and I'm trying to decide where to mount my aftermarkets. They are the bullet type. 2 1/2".
I'm leaning towards mounting them to the top of the shocks because they look cool there and are somewhat protected behind the push bar, but I ride through alot of water and I'm worried about that causing problems. I've seen quite a few of you have them mounted down low like that. Have any of you run into problems going through water?

no problems if you know how to wire stuff right, i have never had a problem with anything like that, and water can get behind my lenzes, there are vent holes and water can get in there....do them how you want, it is a personal preference
