A while back, I bought an aftermarket rear axle from ebay. Nice and solid, much thicker than stock. The bolts that hold the wheel hubs on are much bigger, with a much coarser thread than the factory ones.

Problem is, I can torque them to 120 ft lbs, install a cotter pin, go for a rip and when I get back, if I pull that pin back out I can sometimes spin the axle nut off by hand.

How much can I torque these guys? I can't find any info online for the axle. Is thread locker a better idea?

what kind of axle is it
I can't even remember. On the ad it didn't say. When I got it, it had a sticker on the box of some brand, but I looked it up online and found nothing about them.

I'll try the anti sieze. Maybe that's all it needs is a little extra friction on those threads. Last thing I need is to wear out the splines on the end.

I put mine on with a 1/2" impact gun. You may want to try using a lock washer, too.
