I've been looking for one of these for years and finally found the perfect one. It's a 1997, the final production year of the probe, with the GTS package and every other factory option except an automatic trans. Even black leather. mmmm, leather ;D. 2.5 DOHC V6, 77,000 miles, tons of new parts including a new clutch and rebuilt heads less than 1,000 miles ago, and Magnaflow exhaust. Sticks to the road amazing, smooth as butter, and man does she FLY! Everything is perfect on it, except the crappy stock sound system, which will be taken care of soon enough.

If you ever drove one like this i think you would quickly retract that statement. They got more than most people think. It may not be as fast as maybe a v8 mustang or camaro, but it's a hell of a lot more fun to drive. Plus it still gets 28mpg highway.

It's non-turbo. The 1st gen gt with the 2.2 4 cyl were the only ones that had the turbo, and they only put out like 145 and usually didn't make it past 80,000 miles without major work. So they weren't the greatest thing ever built. This one makes 164 hp stock without a turbo, and these mazda engines last forever. So the one I have is the fastest combination that was sold in north america. The jap version with the kl-ze engine put out 200 hp stock. It's the same engine, just not corked up from the emissions stuff we have to deal with here.

Yeah, those were gone a month ago. It was ridiculous. I think they were for a truck or something, they'd scrape every time i'd hit a bump, and with 4 people in it they would actually drag during acceleration. It definitely looks better, and I don't miss that scraping plastic sound at all.
