 Just had a fresh rebuild, new bore and new valves. The quad idles fine but when throttled up the engine dies. Its not back firing but almost acts like it is to receiving to much or to little fuel or air. I checked the plug and it is running on the richer side but nothing to be concerned with. The timing is pretty much spot on. The carb has had some damage to it, and was poorly repaired with looks to be silicone lol. Perhaps I need to replace the carb. Any help would be appreciated.

May be way off but when I bough mine it did the same basic thing and it was just the safety switch on the bars, I think it was the parking brake. Switch would disable acceleration if the parking brake was on and the little bugger went bad in the "on" position. I just cut out and bypassed the switch and all was good. Could be a possibility if you haven't already bypassed it.
