99 recon 250 no spark?

hey guys, im considering trading a 2005 ttr125L for a 1999 Honda recon 250. the recon is having spark problems, guy said it sparks twice then doesn't, anyone have any ideas? would this be a fair trade?

decided not to trade him, but may be buying it on sunday for $500. its in pretty fair condition, has a plow and has loads of compesiion.

500 is a great price if it's clean. They are great little quads! My sister has the 250ex with Pro Circuit slip on, K&N, jetted, and it wheelies with me on it. Sounds like it could have a bad electrical connection somewhere. Start by pulling apart all the connections, one by one, making sure they are clean, and put di-electric grease on them. Take a small pick and stick it down inside the female side of the connector, and force the "slot" tighter so it grabs the male "blade" that much tighter as well. After all, tight is right LOL. Also, make sure that all grounds are tight and clean. May have to scuff up the paint for the chassis grounds, apply di-electric grease to the metal then re-fasten the ground.
