97 wolverine carb problems

I have a 97 wolverine that has lost power in higher rpms. I rebuilt the carb and it runs great but when you get up to the later gears it just wants to flatten out and it doesn't want to go. I puller the air box off and my slide wasn't moving at all. I stuck finger down there and opened the slide and the thing took off like a bat out of hell.

It would be much appreciated of anyone could point me in the right direction.

i have had this problem before. Check your diaphragm and make sure there are no holes or if it's bubbled. Also check to make sure the needle is put back in properly, this was what the problem was for me. Hope this helps
