I took the belt cover off of my 07 350 2 weekends ago and checked my belt tension and condition, perfect, nice and tight and the belt up close under a flashlight looked like new. Today when I washed it, I shammy'd it off and started it, when I started it, I let it run on choke for about 20 seconds or so then turned off the choke and reved it, I noticed a pretty loud belt whine noise that I have never heard before, could it be that the belt may have gotten wet when I washed it through the intake tube? Or could it be a sign of the belt needing change? I drained the intake tube clean drain on the front lower part of the tube and it did have a little water in it? I also pulled the plug on the bottom of the side cover, I do not ride it in any mudd or water of any kind, Anyone have this happen to them?
