If most of you guys had seen the pics of the 87 that I liberated the motor from you'd see why I didnt bother trying to get it in running shape. Rust and just general jerry rigging, along with about every bearing and bushing on the frame had the thing so cobbled there was no way I was gonna try. Besides Jar-Jar needed power!!! I am keeping the motor visually first gen though, not going out of my way to hide that. One had to die for one to live, so I did a heart transplant!! Besides Black and Yellow 99's or any year the exact same scheme are harder to come up with than a 1st gen I swear!!

It's got the heart of a first gen, it still counts.
Like my quad has the heart of a killer dirtbike, but the rest is all first gen.. I figure thats gotta still count to. lol

I thought that you were going to put them on a 1st gen. The 2nd gen shocks will work because they aren't too much longer then stock. The shees are even longer then the 2nd gen, and will probably compramise the balljoint angle.

Well I was under the impression that the 1st gen shocks were longer to? But I measured mine last week, and their 14, 1/4" from eye to eye. Banshee shocks are 14, 1/2"..

nope! first gen shocks are like an inch shorter than 2nd gen
