Dune, got any pics? I was thinking that I have too many colors. I need some white or black springs. I think it would look much better without the yellow. The white frame really makes everying 'pop'.

Worked on the wiring harness today and bolted all the coil packs in and all the elect's to the back of the box. The run/off/start is all finished now and did the shifter. The Ninja used left and right handed threads on the shifter linkage so i have to pull one of the tie rods off the old shifter...

I did quite a bit of reading up on the CV's today. I better understand why the vaccuum slide is sought after and why the flat sides are sought after. The vaccuum in the CV's slowly open the slide when you go WOT meaning that intake air pressure has enough force to suck fuel in, as where the...

MotoArts, you have given me FAITH! I swear the guys on the EX forum cant answer a question without pouring their feelings out to save a life. Are they hard to tune with Pod filters and modified exhaust? I read somewhere that the slides wont open due to low vaccuum. I have no idea how these carbs...

Damnit, I didnt think about the chain! The damn chain clearance is kicking my ass today. I'm going with the short version, I think it will look alot better. Well I just went out and looked at the chain and it clears with tons of room but I will double check with the suspension maxed tomorrow...

DirtRider, I snapped this for you to show the exhaust with the suspension maxed out, sorry for the crappy cell phone pics Here is the new and improved battery box, had to make a loop to clear the chain, not sure if I like it or not but it works and is solid And now on to the fuel tank...

I have not, when the time comes my father will be welding everything up for the final assembly. He has been welding since highschool and can use stick, mig, tig, braise (sp?), everything. He told me if I were to use his tools (the stuff I dont have yet like the mig) then he will have the final...

Damn stuff is just so thin, I'm just spot welding everything, once the bike is done it will be all torn down, cleaned (possibly painted), everything welded solid and all the welds cleaned up. It's not going to be a show bike by any means but good craftmanship is a must, especialy at 9k rpm, have...

With a ratchet strap around the carrier and grab bar TIGHT it still clears. I made it where it would flow as much as I could, less sharp corners=better flow. I'm gonna have to go back and re-read the post about the DynaJet kits and figure out the CV carbs since the air box, or lack there of...

Thanks Bones, I've seen too many that do get to be too much for the builder and ends up in the trash, this on will NOT be the case. I dont care if it take me 5 years! I went back and looked at the time stamp on the first picture I took and it has been just over a year, primary reason is that I...

Its hard to see but I put in a piece of strap behind the radiator, I dont think I'm going to put anything back in the front or the rad, just clean it up and soe rubber plugs. I will have to keep an eye on it for the first few rides to make sure nothing is bending but I dont have much choice...

    Twin cyl 500cc Warrior build

Heys guys, thought I would give everyone any update, I've been busy getting stuff done. Something about the time change makes me work more! Worked the harness to fit the Warrior, had to put in a strap over the top of the motor for the coil packs and to route the run/off/start buttons and fan...

sorry I missed this post, I cut up the pipes and it looks like I can get away with the stock headers, they will run down along each side of the motor and then Y together on the brake pedal side then along the out side of the lower sub frame almost straight up to the WB pipe. looks pretty...

I found the kit on google, I thought I was looking for something different. if this will help with tuning then it will be bought. I have read tons of posts on ex500.com where guys give up and go back with a stock air box. that is not an option for me as the fuel tank will be where thw box was...

motoarts, can you point me int the right direction on carbs? I have always wanted to switch over to a normal carb and drop all the cv stuff, is it that easy to do? I read that harley guys to the exact opposite and say the cv give them more power/throttle response.

I knew there was somthing I forgot. I have a WhiteBrother E Series that was on the Warrior, did some research and the flow should hold up to an 800cc motor. So the PLAN is to do a 2into1 and out the back into the E Series. No idea what it will sound like but the old 350 sounded damn good with...

I agree that the color is way off and yes, it is a visor from and old helmet. I got tired of playin with card board etc and had it laying around so I thought I would give it a shot. I dont completly like it but don't hate it either. I'm gonna play around with some metal next, or look into some...

Well, I went through the spare parts box and this is what I came up with, plan on possibly mounting a light in the open area, was this genius or is does it look crappy?

Well, thank you? Ha, I get that now and again when people see the build. It should be one hella of a machine. I, again, re-did the backet for the thermo today. Below is what I came up with. I am trying to find something I can cover it all up with since it looks like the front end threw up and...
