When I bought it the hood was missing and the wiring was cut under the hood. I think it's just the lighting wires, but I'm not sure. I have it rewired so the on/off start switch works. After the single connector does it go to the cdi so I can try and trace it?

The 2 wires coming form the clutch area? I crossed them and it made no difference.

98 Warrior, just put in a brand new RM stator and cdi. Now it starts as soon as I hit the button and idles perfect, but pops and backfires as soon as I hit the gas. It also shoots 4" flames out the exhaust. (Yosh) It's not the carb as I cleaned it and float is adjusted properly, I also...

I compared the wiring diagrams and they have different specs as far as resistance, so I imagine I would need to swap the CDI and possibly flywheel. I've done some research and found better reviews for RM and Ricky Stator over stock. Quite a few I've read said the stock are absolute crap...

I think I'm going with the RM stator/cdi package, just wondered if it would work for a short term fix. This was supposed to be a buddy bike for tomorrows ride.

I have a 98 with the three plug (D style)stator that's shot. A buddy has a stator from an 02-04 that's a 2 plug. Is there a way to install that stator in my bike and splice my plugs onto it?
