    Ok so I got rings in the mail and honed the cylinder. What it your guys opinion on .034" for the ring gap. I read it's supposed to be half that.

    I also checked the bore while it is apart it's .0003" from perfectly round. And .001 tapered from top to bottom. The finish is smooth. There's light vertical lines in a couple spots.

    I tore my cylinder off my warrior and I want to replace the piston rings. The piston is in good shape I am wondering who made my piston and whose rings can I buy for it. It's marked .040 over and the only other markings say 1ym. Any suggestions would be great.

    I just pull the head and cylinder off my bike. The reason was it was burning oil. I plan on replacing valve seals. My question is about the piston and bore. It is already .040" over, and isn't real beat up. It has about .001" taper and it is .0003" out of round, and has little scoring. I can't...

    When I dealt with this issue I bought a caloric stator and it was very similar to the numbers you are getting. If I remember correct I had to reverse the red snd whit wires coming off the p/u coil.Hope this helps

    Burning oil

    I have a 96 warrior that sat for a couple years. It runs good it just burns oil. I checked the compression and it's 120 psi. I was told it's probably valve seals. they probably dried up when it sat for so long. I was wondering if maybe the oil retaining ring on the piston could be stuck...

    All fixed had her running last night. It was stator and cdi from the start... thanks guys
