I ended up pulling half of the threads out of one of the bolt holes that holds the exhaust valve cover on. I have asked a few people and they say you can't re thread it. Any suggestions would help?
I've had this bike for about five years now. I've only wrecked it twice and caused no damage to it. My friend, who races an ltr 450, wrecked it the other day. It bent the axle, broke a cable in one of the rear tires, and bent the handle bars up pretty good. I was going to sell the bike for 2000...
like i said before, A bearing blew up and the balls cut those grooves.i tried to use the same carrier and ended up blowing those bearings out in less than a month. so good luck to ya.
Somehow when I did my rebuild I lost the intake valve, adjustment screw and lock nut. If someone has a cracked head or something I would greatly appreciate it.
It can be welded. Mine actually is in the same place an it works fine.
On another note, to check to see if it is in time you need to line that "T" up then take your cam gear cover off and look for the line on it and look for the notch on the head. If it doesnt "tick" when its runin then it...
