The boot on my front caliper slider pin tore awhile back. This allowed all sorts of crap to get there, wash out the grease and bind it up. Braking worked, but not a well as it used to. I checked around and Yamaha doesn't sell the slider for the Wolverine. WTF? However, it seems that most machines of the same vintage share very similar, if not the same brake calipers. So, I ordered a slider pin from a 2003 400EX. I swapped the pins out yesterday and took a pic before installing the new one. Practically identical. So, if you ever need a pin and it's not available, try a Honda one. Part number is printed on the bag in the pic. Oh, I replaced the torn boot as well.
