all i can get out of mine is 44mph, all i have is the bigger exhaust tip and a k & n filter.....would like more speed, if you have it, how did you achieve it, be nice if we had a cdi avalible!!!!!

stock i had about 52-54.
I put the clutch kit in and it dropped to 48
I installed the exhaust, filter, and jet kit, and it went back up to 52-54
Now the 488 kit and ported and polished head top speed.....TBD when put back together

guess me being 265lbs slows it down, of course i havent ever cleaned and repacked my drive system and it has been full of water.....is that hard to do? and another thing....will a jet kit do anything with out exhaust??
yhea the 265 will slow it down a little.
Cleaning and repacking the primary is pretty easy. I posted a topic on how to do the epi clutch kit on here, just read that topic and it tells you how to do it. Then buy some grizzgrease from yamaha and that should have you all set.
As far as a jet kit, by itself it wont do anything, it is just to make sure that you have the proper fuel mixture when you change the pipe and filter.
