I have a 2001 and the boot that is at the top of the rear drive shaft (at the motor) seems loose or bigger than it should be. it popped off twice now and I think it is set in there good now and really tightened the clamp but I will keep an eye on it.

have you guys had any problem with yours??

Yeah, those stretch after awhile. It's even worse if your middle drive oil seal is leaking. Don't ask me how I know. LOL!

The only way to replace that is to pull of the rear swinarm. It's not that bad of a job since you can leave the axle and wheels on...just disconnect the rear brake and associated hardware. The hard part is getting everything lined up when putting it back. An extra set of hands really helps.

For a temp fix, you could run some RTV around the boot before installing the metal clamp.
