I tore the CV boot on my front right tire while pulling it out of a hole. Seeing as though I know exactly when it happened, I'm fairly confident that nothing too heavy has gotten into the actual joint.

What kind of job am I looking at to replace the boot myself? I can buy a boot kit for 20 bucks, but my Yamaha dealer is going to charge me 100 dollars to put it on.

Thanks!

Welp, the front wheel, brake caliper, brake rotor, wheel hub, and spindle houseing have to come off. After that, you'll have good access to the front boot.

If you have more specific information, such as year and model of your bike, one of the members could scan the proceedure and then we can start a "do it yourself" section. Wait, do we already have one of those?

Good luck.
