I tore the CV boot on my front right tire while pulling it out of a hole. Seeing as though I know exactly when it happened, I'm fairly confident that nothing too heavy has gotten into the actual joint. What kind of job am I looking at to replace the boot myself? I can buy a boot kit for 20...

Just got back from the garage, and the dip stick has me a tad confused. Am I measuring the dip just inside that tiny cross-patterned piece at the end of the stick, or am I looking at the entire stick? Thanks guys.
